I've loved reading and making up stories for as long as I can remember, and I've set up this site to share the magical world of books with you.

 

There's nothing I like better than curling up with a good book - whether it's chillaxing in the sunshine on a hot sandy beach or snuggled up with a hot chocolate in front of a roaring fire on a cold and blustery day. Even finding a quiet nook somewhere on just an average day. My favourite stories are where one seemingly small act of chance has devastating consequences for the character, making the reader think it could happen to anybody.

My work as a book-blogger has been on hold for a while as I've been working on an MA in creative writing at the University of Bristol. It has been wonderful to have had the time and space to focus on my writing while scrutinising and developing the finer elements of craft, but it did mean I had to prioritise my time away from reviewing all the fantastic books I was reading. And I did read a lot during that time! It was a necessary part of the degree to read widely and outside of what I would ordinarily choose. Over the next few months, I will share some of those amazing books with you – as well as some of the non-fiction craft books studied.
